GREENSBORO, April 9, 2007 The Greensboro Area Health Education Center (AHEC) has selected Allston J. Stubbs, M.D. of The North Carolina Sports Medicine Institute as its Course Director for the 2007 Active Hip Symposium.  The program is designed for primary care providers and rehabilitation specialists whose clinical practice involves the management of hip pain in patients 12 to 55 years of age.  Dr. Stubbs stated, “We’re thrilled to be a part of this program.  In the last several years, a variety of treatment options have emerged for younger patients with hip pain and disability.  The evolution of knowledge and techniques has led to a modern approach which delays the need for traditional hip replacement.  Patients who have access to this newer technology have the ability to enjoy a greater quality of life with less limitations.”

The 2007 Active Hip Symposium is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13th in High Point, North Carolina.
